From the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF):

One of the main long awaited events where students and fresh graduates are brought together from all around the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

The Eastern Mediterranean Pharmaceutical Symposium (EMPS) is an annual event that brings together pharmacy students from across the Eastern Mediterranean region. Here are some key points about EMPS:

1. Purpose and Scope:

- - EMPS aims to provide a platform for pharmacy students to enhance their knowledge, skills, and experiences in pharmacy practice.
  - It serves as an opportunity for students to engage in seminars, workshops, and competitions related to pharmacy.

2. Host and Location:

- The symposium is hosted by different countries within the Eastern Mediterranean region.
- For instance, this year’s EMPS will be hosted by Jordan in 2024.

3. Activities and Focus Areas:

- During the symposium, students can explore various pharmacy disciplines and experience different pharmacist roles.
- National and international speakers, visionaries in the pharmacy field, are invited to share insights and opportunities.
- Workshops and lectures cover topics such as biotechnology, nanotechnology, drug safety, and multi-professional education.
